For Fun Antalya in Lara claims to be the most entertaining place in the city. That is a BIG claim in a place like Antalya!! Read on to find out what For Fun Antalya offers and if it lives up to its claim.
What’s there?
For Fun is jam-packed with something for just about everyone. Classic and not-so-classic arcade games are scattered throughout. Skee ball, racing games, basketball and soccer/futbol games can all be found. There are also a good number of lucky ticket producing games that can be used to earn enough points to exchange for prizes.
Four billiard tables can be rented for game play, along with a separate Just Dance room, a playstation room, and two karaoke studios.
Eight lanes of bowling and a laser tag arena round out the entertainment options. For those who might not want to play any games and just hang out, there is a cafe with an ample seating area.
Our Experience
Our kids have been to For Fun with friends multiple times through the years for birthday party laser tag. They have always raved about how much fun they had. After having lunch at Başka Ol next door, we visited as a family for the first time on a weekday summer afternoon with a group of friends. It wasn’t too crowded and our large group was able to get right in at opening time for a round of laser tag.
The facilities are clean and the people who work there are fairly helpful. They knew enough English to help our friends who don’t speak Turkish. It was also nice and cool on a blazing summer day, so it was a refreshing place to hang out for a bit while the kids enjoyed arcade games afterwards. We did not purchase anything to eat or drink, but we were able to sit in the café area as long as we liked.
There was a group doing karaoke while we were there. We could not hear them, but could definitely see them through the glass door (so keep that in mind if you plan on doing karaoke but don’t want an audience).
Compared to inflated prices for everything else in the city right now, it didn’t feel too unreasonable for a special outing with the kids.
Helpful Tips
- We have heard it can get pretty crowded on the weekends and in the evenings. If you have a choice, we suggest going close to opening time to avoid lots of people.
- If you just want to do arcade games and transportation isn’t an issue for you, the entertainment center at Agora Mall has a more extensive collection.
- Before participating in any games or activities, you have to load money onto a reusable game card that has a one-time 5TL fee. If you plan on going multiple times and want to earn more tickets for a bigger prize, you can also keep your ticket tally on the card.
- Laser tag can be paid for in 15-minute increments and groups of between 3 to 21 people can play at one time. The gear is pretty heavy for little people, but most kids above the age of 8 should be able to participate.
- The karaoke, Just Dance and PlayStation rooms can be rented for 30 minutes each. Billiard tables are also rented in 30-minute increments.
- Be sure to check out Başka Ol right next door if you are hungry or want a pre or post fun coffee or treat.
- Bowling is a flat rate per person and up to 6 people can bowl per lane. The first four lanes have bumper pads that can be inflated for kids to use, but we recommend calling ahead or going close to opening time if you go on the weekend to guarantee you can use them.
